MCP server for exploring llms.txt websites
This repository provides an MCP server that lets an agent check whether a website has `llms.txt` or `llms-full.txt`, then return the file locations and validation status. It also lets the agent list known compliant websites and filter them by file type.
Builders who want their agent to inspect websites that publish llms.txt files.
You can ask your agent to verify and browse llms.txt-compliant sites without checking each site by hand.
What it does
Check a website
`check_website` takes a domain URL and returns whether the site has `llms.txt` or `llms-full.txt`, plus where those files live and whether they validate.
List compliant websites
`list_websites` returns structured data about known sites with llms.txt files and can filter by `llms.txt` or `llms-full.txt`.
MCP transport
The server works over stdio, so it can be attached to MCP clients like Claude Desktop and other compatible agents.

Debugging
Since MCP servers communicate over stdio, debugging can be challenging. We recommend using the MCP Inspector, which is available as a package script:
pnpm run inspector
The Inspector will provide a URL to access debugging tools in your browser.
