Shodan MCP server for device and CVE lookups
This MCP server connects an agent to Shodan search, IP lookup, DNS resolution, reverse DNS, CPE lookup, and CVE intelligence. It uses your Shodan API key and returns structured output that an agent can read and compare.
Builders who want their agent to research exposed systems, domains, and vulnerabilities from Shodan.
You can ask your agent to look up hosts, resolve names, and check CVEs without switching to Shodan manually.
What it does
IP reconnaissance
Looks up an IP address with organization, geolocation, services, hostnames, and certificate details when available.
Shodan search
Searches Shodan’s database of internet-connected devices with filtering and result summaries.
CVE and CPE intelligence
Fetches CVE details, affected products, KEV status, EPSS, mitigations, and CPE matches from Shodan CVEDB.
DNS tools
Resolves hostnames to IPs and performs reverse DNS lookups from IPs to hostnames.

Shodan MCP Server
A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for querying the Shodan API and Shodan CVEDB. This server provides comprehensive access to Shodan's network intelligence and security services, including IP reconnaissance, DNS operations, vulnerability tracking, and device discovery. All tools provide structured, formatted output for easy analysis and integration.
