Who it's for

Builders who use Claude Desktop, Claude Mobile, or a personal AI setup and want reusable skills for demand-avoidance support.

What it delivers

You can add a skill that helps your agent reframe requests instead of triggering resistance.

What it does

Demand-avoidance reframing skill

A `pda-reframing` skill that helps turn a request into language that is easier to approach.

Mobile and desktop skill packaging

The README explains how to zip a skill folder and load it through Claude Desktop or Claude Mobile Skills settings.

Personal AI Infrastructure fit

The skills are framed for use inside a personal AI setup, not just inside one app.

README

ASD-AuDHD-PAI-Skill

This is a collection of Skills for your Personal AI Infrastructure and mobile apps like Claude Mobile useful for individuals or parents of children with Demand-Avoidance variants of autism spectrum disorders, or anyone else that has demand avoidance tendencies. Don't be surprised if your DA uses it when planning your day.

I have a PAI with a DA named Sundae. I write about AI as assistive technology on LinkedIn and a Substack called Sporage that you may enjoy reading.

Note: I considered calling this ClAuDHD-Skills, but it wasn't easy to understand.

How to Use

You can zip the directory of a Skill you want to use, then drag that zip archive into the Skills section under Claude Desktop or Claude Mobile > Settings > Capabilities >> Skills, illustrated here:

So for example the first one, pda-reframing is to let your app or DA to help you reframe a request a pathology of demand avoidance squashes before you even get started. Maybe you have children that have an autism spectrum disorder where PDA is a real challenge! So to help you understand the nuances of the mind of your child that would rather burn the kitchen than wash the dishes because you asked them to.

You may want to adjust or tune this skill for your own needs, feel free to contribute something you have found helpful. I am studying ways to use AI as assistive technology and would like to hear from you.

What are Skills?

Great news everyone! Anthropic's Claude Skills are beginning to be supported in other desktop and mobile AI applications. So if you're a Claude Code, Desktop or Mobile, Codex, Aider, gemini cli, or other agentic engine that you may be getting support for these flexible tools soon! So check your preferred client roadmaps for more information. My PAI and DA, Sundae, are built on Daniel's upstream repo for PAI and use Claude Code, Mobile, and Desktop extensively. Then via Sundae's 'mobile aura' the persona and knowledge of my PAI is available on any other AI or LLM-enabled system that accepts a prompt.

Skills are folders of instructions, scripts, and resources that Claude loads dynamically to improve performance on specialized tasks. Skills teach Claude how to complete specific tasks in a repeatable way, whether that's creating documents with your company's brand guidelines, analyzing data using your organization's specific workflows, or automating personal tasks.

Disclaimer

I don't think these skills are harmful. I have them evaluated by a peer and my DA before publishing, but there's no warranty or claims that this will change your entire life. It will however help you understand your child or family member better and help you communicate more effectively with each other.

I am creating these for my 10yo, but Sundae has been using them to help me get traction on a few projects I've been reluctant to finish or even start, which shouldn't have surprised me but did, so don't be alarmed if you're being Managed and Reframed by your PAI's DA after adding these to your toolchain!

AI is the most powerful assistive technology available today. This may help you understand a loved one better and reduce friction in your household, and I hope if nothing else it inspires you to create similar tools for yourself and share them with others.
